Ken Pieters

I am Ken and have been a key member of the IMPACT team for more than 10 years. I specialize in training programs on communication, feedback, leadership, and media coaching. In addition to being a skills trainer, I also work as news manager at Het Nieuwsblad, where I continuously respond to current events and guide journalists during breaking news. Thanks to the combination of delivering training and holding a leadership role in a newsroom, I stay closely connected to practice and can better empathize with the challenges participants face in the workplace.

Previously, I gained experience as chief editor at VTM NIEUWS and as a journalist at HLN, Radio 2, and the regional television stations Focus & WTV. In 2011, I graduated with great distinction from Ghent University with a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences. Afterwards, I completed the specific teacher training program. It gives me tremendous satisfaction that since then I have been able to combine my passions for news and teaching.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling to distant destinations and often go running or cycling.
